Chapter 9 Dreaux: La Familia

Oh, the struggle a brother was going through trying to figure why things had gone down the way they did a few nights ago at my crib with Keri. The way she left had me way past the point of confusion. One minute I was about to tear that thang up and the next, she was running away like a bat out of hell leaving me with a dick so hard I swore I’d suffer from blue balls. Then there was the fact that she kept saying, Please don’t push me away. What the fuck did that even mean? Even if I wanted to, I couldn’t leave Keri alone. Once my extensive workout was over, I sprawled out on the floor breathing profusely. My phone started going off so I picked up without looking at the caller ID.

“Sup,” I answered on the second ring.

“Ayo come outside and ride out with me to the barbershop. One of our workers told me he got that info on deck.” It was Bear. My antennas went up because I knew that could only mean one thing.

“Cool,” I replied before deading the line.

I pulled myself up off the floor and ran to my room so I could throw a T-shirt on.
